BBVA Compass Stadium

Houston Texas

7:30 p.m.

The delegation from Jamaica for the captioned game departs at 8:20am from the Norman Manley International Airport. The team travels via Miami and arrives in Houston at 4:21pm.

Please see attached full delegation.

This is the first time that both teams are facing each other since October 2013 when in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers the score line was 2-2 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The last time that both teams faced each other in a friendly came in 2011 where Honduras won 2-1. Demar Phillips scored the goal for the Reggae Boyz on that occasion.

Jamaica’s last victory over Honduras came in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup where Jamaica won 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Ryan Johnson.

Both teams will be using this game in preparation for big things ahead. Honduras, for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in March where they will play against USA and Costa Rica. Jamaica, to continue their preparation for the semi-finals of the Caribbean Cup as well as the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Honduras will be oozing with confidence going into this match against Jamaica because they are now the Champions of Central America and they have booked a spot in the 2017 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. In the 2017 Copa Centroamericana they won 4 of their 5 games to win their first title since 2011.

The last time both teams met on US soil in a friendly match came in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia where the game ended 0-0.
